#Fallen44

One of the trending news these past few days is the story of the 44 Fallen Commandos of the Philippine National Police Special Action Force.  This is the story of the Fallen 44, who were killed in a battle at Mamasapano, Maguindanao last January 25, 2015--just a few days after the Papal Visit.

We had our own share of being the vigilant among us, the voice to speak out.. to agree or to disagree.  But we are one of the many numbers who does not know any of the Fallen 44.  We are not the spouse, the sibling, the children, and the son of any of the 44 men who risked their lives to fight for what is right.

And just like the numerous of Filipino people, I do not know any of the SAF 44... but even though I do not know any of them, everytime I look at the photos of what had happened, a glimpse of the men who have risked their lives.. and hear the news about them, my heart breaks.

Reality hurts especially to realize that there are 44 lives that has been wasted just for our FIGHT FOR PEACE ...hyperbole isn't?  But what is more heartbreaking is that, after these men have risked their own lives, the people who should be held responsible of this secret task left them in the dark.  These men have been very busy putting the blame on each other, desperately looking for ways to salvage themselves in the midst of the investigation.  Our question is, who should be blamed?  And their answer?  Definitely not me!  Argh! So frustrating!

Hats off to PNP-SAF Chief Getulio Napenas, who took responsibility on what happened to 44 of his men.  You may have become the scapegoat of this operation, but you are truly a leader in every sense of the word.  For a true leader, is a partner, and not just someone who gives out instructions.  My deepest respect to you sir.  And because of you, I know that the 44 Fallen Commandos has that moral principle because you were their leader.

My respect also to Philippine National Police Deputy Director General Leonardo Espina, who have stand his ground to seek justice for his men,  and most of all, for being a human.  What really touches me, is the fact that upon knowing what had happened to his men, is that Gen.  Espina was MAN-ENOUGH to show his feelings, and was not afraid to cry.  Real Men Cries.

And for the #Fallen44, a snappy salute to all of you, for the patriotism that you have shown us, and for conquest for peace...SALUDO PARA SA TAGALIGTAS.  Our modern day heroes, in mind, and in heart.  We will continue to seek justice for the life you have risked.

Intro : A Peek On What Is Inside My Mind

The concept of this blog has been hatched about 2 to 3 years ago ... this dream is to be able to voice out my opinions on the current events that is happening not only in my country, the Philippines, but also around the world.  Perhaps, this is the AB-Communication Arts graduate talking, or the vigilant in me... or simply a person who cares on what is happening around us.

This blog will be all about headlines, current events, and trends and what I think about it.  My goal is to be able to document my points of view on what is happening, and read about it after a few years time.

...this is me speaking, and this is a peek on what is inside my mind.
